Events: Qu'ran 101

Join Islam on Campus for a discussion regarding the holy Qur'an, the sacred text revered by Muslims around the world and a guidance for all of humanity. Have you ever had questions regarding what the Qu'ran is, or what it really says? Well bring your questions and they will be answered at "Quran 101." Broward dining will be highlighting the month of Ramadan on Monday, August 30th with their Breaking of the Fast dinner. The entire Broward Dining Hall will be serving food from different Muslim countries across the world. The price of the buffet is $8.99, which is the standard price of dinner at Broward Dining.

Events: Ramadhan Announcement

Open in new windowThe general Gainesville Muslim community has declared the first day of Ramadhan as Wednesday, August 11th. Therefore, the first Taraweeh prayers will be held the night before (August 10th), with 'Isha prayer starting at 9:45pm.

Gainesville has two mosques:
